Around 10,000 children welcomed in collective child care centres among the region's 387 Établissements d’Accueil des Jeunes Enfants de Normandie (2012); Collective day nurseries, family day nurseries (at the childminder's home on behalf of a local authority), part-time nurseries, multi-option nurseries, micro-nurseries and kindergartens. Around 30,000 certified childminders in Normandy (2012): 6,299 in Calvados, 5,148 in Eure, 4,839 in Manche, 1,972 in Orne and 11,498 in Seine-Maritime.
